Poem One

INTROSPECTION

A little stream of solitude
Rests deep within my heart;
A fountain of quietness
Undisturbed and set apart;
From this mighty world's anxiety
The pressures and the stress;
And when i touch Loves's Golden door
I find Hope waiting there.

A little world of experience
Is etched upon my mind;
Some beautiful, some painful
Yet i'm reminded of the Kind,
and Loving presence of our Lord,
Our Saviour and our King;
The Lord of Hosts the Prince of Peace
I'm sheltered by his wings.

Poem Two

Orientation Programme- A Tribute                                                  Charlotte Simpson

The orientation Programme at J.U;

An opportunity rare,

The experiences were educative;

There was much to learn and share.

Packed with information;

So intelligently designed;

Food for thought ,energy for the soul;

Health for body and mind.

Our journey from Physical Education;

To Information Technology’s role;

From Bioinformatics to Evolutionary computation;

To gain Knowledge our main goal.

The visit to the library;

Hands on experience at the lab;

The study tour at the Energy Park;
We sure our fill have had.

Our schedule had been hectic;

Workshops and Group discussions too;

Controversial debates , interactive lectures;

Have broadened our horizons and world view.

The fun and entertainment;

Birthday celebrations and treats galore;

The singing and merry making;

The Joy we had in store.

The friendships that we struck

The commitment and the bonds

These indelible marks on our memory

Will fondly linger on.

We are thankful for the chance

To hone our skills and learn

Innovative techniques and teaching strategy

The care ,camaraderie and concern.

POEM Three

SUDDENLY

Suddenly

A thought hits me,

And i feel heavy,

Heavier than i think i can bear.

I relive each trial,

Remember each tribulation,

Feel ashamed of every harsh feeling,

Each Angry thought,

And wish to put it all behind me,

Buried in the past,

Not waiting for even one tumultous hour.

Suddenly ,

I hear  a voice.

Is it that of my conscience, my inner self?

Or is it something that goes beyond the natural?

It is repetitious,

I hear it saying again and again

Rest tired one,

Your heart and soul will be at peace

Suddenly ,

I feel lifted,

A little higher,

Much happier.

I am reminded

that i have a place to set my heart at rest,

To release my burdens,

To know peace and calm.

I feel less weary and heavy laden,

As I become more gentle and more humble.

Suddenly ,

I feel new life,

As it enfolds my being,

And as I am remindedof the heavens.

I stand in the light of its glory.

The speeding cycle of my life is slowed,

The wonder of it does not cease to amaze me,

I feel  a certain calm,

I feel  overwhelmed,

By this eternal rest.

POEM  FOUR

God in my Life

In My God and in noone else,

I findTrue Life.

In the comfort of His presence ,

I find true Peace.

In the gentle ways in whcih He leads me

I find Joy.

And as He walks beside me,

I find security

In his Promises,

I find the truth.

In His Love for me

I find Bliss.

In His Word

I find contentment.
